Fawaz Ali, Yemen

Notes of ripe stone fruits, chocolate, & red grape.

Yemen was the first country to cultivate and trade coffee beans as we know them today. Grown on ancient terraces and dried naturally in the sun, Yemeni coffee carries centuries of tradition in every sip.

For around 200 years, Yemen was the world's only source of coffee. All coffee went through its port, Al-Mokha, which is why we have "Mocha" coffee today.

Yemeni coffee tastes sweet, rich, and complicated, often with hints of chocolate, fruit, or spices. This is because they dry the whole coffee cherry, which brings out the sweetness.
