Duwancho is a vibrant natural Ethiopian coffee from the highlands of Sidama Bensa, offering the expressive fruit character and floral complexity that have made the region famous among speciality coffee lovers. Grown at elevations of up to 2,020 metres, the cherries mature slowly in the cool mountain climate, developing exceptional sweetness, density and flavour intensity.
In the cup, expect juicy blueberry sweetness balanced by delicate bergamot florals, creating a profile that feels both vibrant and refined. A rich, syrupy body adds depth and texture, while the finish remains clean and elegant, allowing the coffee's natural sweetness and aromatic complexity to shine.
Carefully processed at Gatta Farm, only fully ripe cherries are selected before being slowly dried on raised beds to concentrate flavour and preserve clarity. This meticulous approach enhances the coffee's fruit-forward character while maintaining balance and structure, resulting in a cup that is expressive without being overwhelming.
Produced through the Daye Bensa network, led by brothers Asefa and Mulugeta Dukamo, this coffee reflects both the extraordinary growing conditions of Sidama and a long-term commitment to quality, sustainability and community development.
The result is a coffee that feels bright, layered and effortlessly enjoyable — a classic expression of natural Ethiopian coffee with remarkable sweetness, floral elegance and depth.
