Aquiares means "land between rivers" in the indigenous Huetar language, named for the two rivers that frame the estate on the slopes of Turrialba Volcano, Costa Rica. Under Diego Robelo, the estate grows its coffee under native shade, with more than 50,000 shade trees planted since 2000.

This washed lot of the Mariana F1 hybrid, grown at 1,000 to 1,400 metres, brings smooth caramel, soft vanilla and a bright candied lemon finish.
